I was recently interviewed by a local radio station and invited to share my evidence-based insights on safety, accountability, and leadership in organizations, insights gathered over a decades-long career in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. The topics of this interview and flow of the discussion rang true with many of the newsletter articles I have shared with you thus far, and so I thought this interview would serve well in place of one.

In these brief ten minutes, I invite you to follow my journey, my history of Industrial-Organizational Psychology, from student to scientist-practitioner. The lessons learned then inform the lessons taught now, and that essential groundwork in the early approaches to safety and the development of the High Reliability Organization concept is just that: essential.
